The prairie behind this honey
South Dakota's prairie landscape is part of the story of this Clover harvest. Its regional setting and flowering plants make each harvest distinct.
Independent laboratory analysis / sample-specific
Sweet clover in the pollen profile
MelliFloral Full Profile #2026-2323 describes a honey sample reported harvested in July 2026 in Tripp County, South Dakota. Microscopic pollen analysis identified Melilotus (sweet clover) as its dominant pollen type. The laboratory interpreted the analyzed sample as unifloral honey.
Of the pollen grains identified in this sample, 91.32% were attributed to Melilotus. The laboratory reported 4,669 pollen grains per gram.

What pollen testing does—and does not—tell us
Microscopic pollen analysis identifies and counts pollen types observed in honey. Pollen percentages are not nectar percentages; a 91.32% relative pollen finding does not mean that 91.32% of the honey's nectar came from sweet clover. This is not DNA testing, an adulteration test, or a purity certification.

The harvest region

The highlighted counties provide broad, approximate regional context in southern South Dakota, rather than a precise harvest boundary. They do not identify apiary sites, bee-foraging distances, or guarantee that the honey came from every highlighted county.
Trace the July 2026 source-harvest record
BB-H-2026-000003 is Buzzberry Farms' reserved source-lot record for the July 2026 Clover evidence review. Its link to the tested supplier batch and finished bottles has not yet been confirmed; this record is not a claim that every Clover bottle currently sold came from the tested source.
This result describes the analyzed honey sample. It does not mean every Clover bottle currently for sale was independently tested. Enter a printed code in our lookup; if the code is not recognized, contact us for help instead of assuming it matches this sample.
